Create, modify, or remove a school

University Subscription Level

Just as Universities may have a School of Business, School of Liberal Arts, etc., your University can include multiple schools. A School includes a custom name, banner, logo, and background image for the School's sign-in screen.

As an Administrator, you will create your University's Schools for use by its Instructors. After a course is created, it can be assigned to an existing School within the University by the Instructor who created the course.

Create a new School

  1. Click on the Site Management link at the top of your account page.
  2. Click on the Schools menu.
  3. Click the orange Add School button.
  4. Name the School, and upload a banner image, logo and background image for the sign-in screen. 
  5. Click Save School.
  6. You can come back and modify the School at any time.

Note: Each School has a separate sign-in page, with that School's custom look and feel. For example, if your University URL is normally https://yourdomainname.com/login, a new School's login page would look like this: https://yourdomainname.com/schools/xx/login, where "xx" is the School ID number in the University. Provide the unique School login page to Instructors by clicking on the School Detail tab (click on the School name) and then on the Links tab.

Remove a School

  1. Click on the Site Management link at the top of your account page.
  2. Click on the Schools menu.
  3. Find the School you wish to delete, and click the edit icon or the School name.
  4. Click the orange Remove School button at the bottom of the page, and then again to confirm.

Note: If a School is removed, all courses previously assigned to that School will automatically be assigned to the School marked as Default in the Schools list (Site Management > Schools).
